A guitar once owned by Tony Hicks and then used by George Harrison of The Beatles is up for aution and expected to fetch between £300,000 to £400,000.
The guitar belonged to Tony in 1962 when he was with the Dolphins and can be seen in this picture.
When Tony acquired the Gibson guitar from Rocky, on the left in this picture, he sold the Maton back to Barretts of Manchester from where he had purchsed it.
It was some time after this that George Harrison used it for a short period.
