2nd October 2004  Peter Howarth performs his first concert with The Hollies in Munster Germany

21 September 2004

The Hollies were all shocked and saddened by the sudden death of their friend and colleague Carl Wayne. It was Carl's wish for The Hollies Autumn Tour to go ahead as scheduled and for The Hollies great songs to continue to be performed live.

For the Autumn Tour, The Hollies are very excited that Peter Howarth will be joining them. Like their old friend Graham Nash, Peter was born in Blackpool and for many years has sung with Cliff Richard. He was also co-writer of the West End Musical 'Robin - Prince of Sherwood' and recently has starred in two National Tours of 'Only The Lonely', the Roy Orbison Story.

The Hollies look forward to seeing their fans again this Autumn.

1st September 2004

It is with much sadness that I have to announce that following a long illness,
Carl Wayne passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, 31st August 2004.

The Hollies and the world of music have lost a shining star, a true professional.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Susan, son Jack and all of his family.

Rob, Lesley and family

You may have noticed that The Hollies have been advertised as touring Australia in March 2004.

This is incorrect as they are currently on a major 27 date UK Concert tour during this period.

The good news is that The Hollies are looking forward to touring Australia and New Zealand in 2005.
