So sad to here this news, saw the hollies twice with Carl as frontman, he was certainly his own man and gave the band a new dimension. my thoughts go out to everyone connected with Carl, especially his wife and son. Went to the sound check the last time they were in Aberdeen it was so nice to here the friendly banter between the guys, Carl was involved in all the banter.

When my girl friend Christine told me of Carl's death this morning, I was deeply saddened. I accompanied Christine last year to England and I went to the Hollies concert in Birmingham. At the concert, Carl took the time to acknowledge Christine. This was a wonderful gesture which shows what a kind and generous person Carl was. My deepest condolences and sympathies to his family. May he rest in peace.

Such a sad loss of Carl Wayne, especially after fulfilling Allans spot light. Like Allan, he will be sadly missed. I sincerely hope this is not the final end of such a tremendous era, fantastic band and the demise of a group of legends.

Have been following the Hollies for a mere 22 years! When Allan Clarke, one of the best vocalists of his era left the band it was a great shame. Carl Wayne was a different voice and allowed the band to continue for another 5 years, singing in his own style. He contributed much to the band and I'm sure all followers of the Hollies will mourn his tragic loss. May he rest in peace.

Saw Carl and the boys at Swansea Grand Theatre on 4th March. Blinder of a show . First time I'd seen Carl with them. Gave the band a fresh injection of energy . Played 3 Move tracks . Fire Brigade/ Blackberry Way/ Flowers In The Rain. Stunning to hear Carl sing these live .Hairs stood up on the back of my neck. Carl looked and sounded great. Saw the band at the stage door and got their signatures on the prog. Great night. Wished I'd taken my own son(14)- also Carl. In the 70s Carl sang You're The Star. Carl - You Were The Star. You will be missed .Sincere sympathy to Carl's family and the band . The Show Must Go On . Mike

I've just heard the tragic news of Carls passing away & would just like to say what a sad day it is for me & I know for many other Hollies & Move fans. Carl was a great front man & an excellent replacement of Allan & he will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with his wife Sue & his family & also with the rest of the Hollies at this tragic time. I would just like to say to Tony & Bobby please don't let this tragic setback deter you from carrying on with the group, there have been so many departures & set backs for the group over the years but you have always come back stronger from each one & the heartbeat of the group is as strong as it always was. My thoughts are with you all at this time. RIP Carl & god bless. Love Mark
